What to Do If You Already Have Osteoporosis

If you already have osteoporosis, talk to your doctor about an exercise program that is safe for you. If you have low bone density or osteoporosis, it is important to protect your spine by avoiding exercises and activities that flex, bend, or twist your spine. This might include curtailing activities such as golf, tennis, or basketball.
