Were you looking for information about Anorexia? Anirexia is a common misspelling of anorexia.
People with anorexia have an intense and overpowering fear of body fat and weight gain, with repeated dieting attempts and excessive weight loss. They believe that they are overweight even when they are extremely thin and often engage in unhealthy behaviors, such as self-induced vomiting and the misuse of diuretics, laxatives, or enemas. A diagnosis of anorexia occurs if the person misses at least three consecutive menstrual cycles and refuses to maintain the minimal normal body weight (among other characteristics).
